Harold Warren Rooney, was born to Margretta Callery and Harold Rooney, July 30, 1945 in Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa. Harold died in Yankton, South Dakota,January 13, 1994, after a long illness.

"Corky" spent most of his young life with his great aunt Atta Ely and attended school in Webster City, Iowa. He moved to Eagle Grove to attend high school and lived with his mother and stepfather Earl Orr. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1964.

His services took place Tuesday, January 18,1994, 11:00 a.m. The service was conducted by Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, Iowa with Edgar James officiating.
