David L. Robertson, 81, Belmond, died November 15, 2009 at Greenleaf Health Care Center in Fort Dodge. Services were held November 18 at Dugger Funeral Home in Belmond with Father Nils Hernandez officating. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery near Belmond. David Luverne, the son of Harvey and Elsie Eccles Robertson, was born August 7, 1928 in Belmond. He attended school in Belmond and married Donna Dorr on September 1, 1950 in Goldfield. They made their home in Belmond and raised their family. David worked in the plumbing and heating business until ill health force him to retire at an early age. David was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. David also enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing cribbage. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Donna (2006); daughter Kathy; great grandson Brandon Hanse; sisters Florence, Millie and Elsie; brothers Tom, Jon and Robert; and a sibling in infancy. David is survived by his children Rhonda (Marvin) Winther of Humboldt and Kenny (Teri) of Johnston; grandchildren David Hanse, Rochelle Himes, Penny Winther, Josh Robertson, Jeremy Robertson and Joe Robertson; great grandchildren Maddux, Dillon and Delaney; and sister Gladys Walters of Harlan.
