Former Area Resident Dies

Alvald B. Stole, 66, passed away at Conrand, Montana on Thursday, November 12 following a short illness. He was born in Wright County, Iowa, in February, 1898 and spent most of his life in Wright county, living for over 14 years in the Goldfield area. He had lived in Montana for the past 2 1/2 years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 17 at the Holmes Lutheran church with the Rev. B.F. Molstre of Fort Dodge and the Rev. Jordan Jacobson of Eagle Grove officiating. Burial was in the Amsterdam Township cemetery near Kanawha.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche, three daughters, Doris Sunvall, Dutton, Montana; Vivian Landvicks of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Joanne Renning of Ettrick, Wisconsin and one son, John Stole of Kanawha. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 5 sisters, Mrs. John Engh, Kanawha; Mrs. Frank Martin of Des Moines; Mrs. Leona Harriman, Birmingham, Alabama; Mrs. Marie Nibe, Story City and Mrs. Anna Larson of Fort Dodge; two brothers, Lismore of Kanawha and Jay of Garner.
