Belmond-Ben Mehus, 69, died suddenly Tuesday evening at his farm home south of Kanawha. He had lived in the Kanawha-Belmond area more than 50 years. Funeral Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church near Belmond. The Rev. O. Laaveg will officiate. Burial will be in St. Olaf Cemetery with Johnston Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are his wife, Amanda, and a daughter, Mrs. Leland Dorr, Belmond. He was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and three brothers.
