Former Le Mars resident Paul Gray died peacefully at his home in Rayville, Mo., July 26, 2009. Paul was born April 9, 1931 in Kanawha, Iowa, the son of George and Evelyn (Sheets) Gray. He is survived by loving wife Louise Wood; sons Michael (Denise) of Cameron, Mo., David (Deborah) of Woodbury, Minn.; daughters Diane (Geoffrey) Strong of Perth, Australia and Paula (Tom) Anderson of Lakeshore, Minn.; stepchildren Russ Wood, Kansas City, Kan., Randy (Deb) Wood, Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Jacquetia (Dale) Werle, Orrick, Mo. He is also survived by sisters Mary Richter of Wesley, Ardys Myers of West Des Moines, Jerry (Donna) Gray of Omaha, Neb., Joan Hallman of Urbandale, Rita (Dick) Burgess-Nordquist of Lino Lakes, Minn., Ramona (Gene) Arndorfer of Algona; and sister-in-law Joan Gray of Denison; 15 loving grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; former wife Arden (Meleney) Gray. sisters Donna Knoll, Shirley Hartzell, and brothers Jack and Don Gray. Memorial services are planned for Aug. 22, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Urbandale.
