Charles M. Zimmerman, age 78, born April 29, 1912 at Dows, Ia., passed away March 20, 1991 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1971. Retired from the Hartford Insurance Co. as an engineer in 1977. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of India Temple, Order of the Eastern Star, member of the Consistory, Christ the King Catholic Church, member of Confederate Air Force and International Order of the Blue Goose. He is survived by wife, Gladys Zimmerman of the home; daughters, JoAnn Douglas, Catherine Lorenz of Oklahoma City, and son, Sgt. 1st Class Charles Michael Zimmerman, serving with the military stationed in Panama. He had 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Louise Zimmerman on Oct. 7, 1975, his parents, Blanche and Henry Zimmerman, and his sister, Melba Peterson. Donations may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Mass and Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 23, 1991, at 10:00 a.m., Christ the King Church with interment at Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith & Kernke.
