STREATOR, Illinois - Rosemary Louise Yanek, 77, of 24 Willow Drive, Streator, died at 8:05 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 26, 1999) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Casimir's Church, Streator, the Rev. Jerome Ham officiating. Burial will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Streator. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Solon & Baker Funeral Home, Streator, with the rosary recited at 4 p.m.

She was born April 16, 1922, in Belmond, Iowa, a daughter of Harry L. and Margaret Kenefick McClernon. She married Edward C. Yanek in St. Louis, Mo. They are divorced. He survives. Other survivors include six daughters, Kathy (Robert) Burkett, Wenona; Beth Ann (Ron) Conner, Streator; Margaret Dye, Cornell; Susan Halterman, Peoria; Eileen (John) Kincade, Streator; and Gerry Ann (Mike) Tallent, Manville; five sons, Edward Yanek, Houston, Texas; and James (Beth) Yanek, Mark (Susan) Yanek, Patrick Yanek, and Raymond Yanek, all of Streator; two sisters, Patricia (Don) Hornyan, Sheridan; and Eileen (Arnold) Pillatsch, Clearwater, Fla.; four brothers, Gene (Julie) McClernon, Winterhaven, Fla.; Roy McClernon, Amboy; Thomas (Reba) McClernon, Aurora; and William (Nettie) McClernon, Aurora; 22 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Catherine Yanek; one son, Thomas M. Yanek; five brothers, Harry McClernon, Jim McClernon, Joe McClernon, Leo McClernon, and Mike McClernon; and one sister, Ruth Neu.
