Margaret Edson Ayers Peterson, age 95, of New Hope, MN died December 12, 2007. Memorial service were held Friday, December 14, 2007 at 1 PM at Messiah United Methodist Church, 17805 Cty Rd 6, Plymouth, MN and visitation began at Noon. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, CA. Gearty-Delmore Chapel of Plymouth, MN, is handling the arrangements.

Margaret was born in Storm Lake, IA, November 11, 1912 to Willis and Ethelyn (Bailie) Edson. She was the oldest of 5 children and the last to die. Margaret taught many years in the Goodell and Kanawha, IA schools and finished her career as head librarian in the Storm Lake Iowa School District. She moved to southern California after retirement spent many happy years traveling and enjoying the southern California area with many summers spent in the Sandpoint, Idaho area.

Survived by daughter, Sue (John) Burrs, Corwith, IA; sons, Bill (Nancy) Ayers, Rockford, MN, James (Hope) Ayers, Brooklyn Park, MN; step-son, Randy (Sandy) Peterson, Novato, CA; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grand children; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Harry Peterson of Homeland, CA; great-grandson, Andy Rasmussen; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
