Agnes M. Tokheim, 98, of Living Center West, died there Friday, April 22, 1994, after a brief illness. Services: 1 p.m. today, First Lutheran Church, where friends may call after noon. The Rev. Daniel Kolander will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Turner Chapel West is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include many cousins; long-term, dedicated employees; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The daughter of John J. and Senva Eide Tokheim, Agnes was born March 5, 1896, in Thor. Her family moved from Thor to Cedar Rapids in 1901. After her father's death, Agnes took over ownership and operation of Tokheim Co. She was a member of First Lutheran Church since 1901; Cedar Rapids Business and Professional Women; and attended Cedar Rapids Business College. Agnes was a very generous person, sharing with her church and with young people acquiring a higher education. She was proud to be an American and what it stood for. A memorial fund has been established.
