HAMPTON, IA-- Dean Earl Eisentrager, 56, of Hampton, died Thursday (May 13, 2004) at his farm in rural Hampton. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hampton, with Father Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield.

Dean was born July 24, 1947, in Hampton to Earl and Mildred (Rewerts) Eisentrager. He graduated from Sheffield-Chapin High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was united in marriage to Linda Ramker on Dec. 30, 1969, in Mason City.
He farmed, raised livestock and was employed by Eaton Corp. in Belmond. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and was active in the Knights of Columbus. Dean's pride and joy were his three daughters. He enjoyed going to all of the girl's sporting events and loved spending time showing hogs at all of the fairs. He also enjoyed baby sitting his daughters' pug dogs, Asa and Ady.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Eisentrager, of Ackley; daughter, Joy Lynn Eisentrager and fiance, Darin Schrader, of Hampton; daughter, Kari Marie Eisentrager and fiance, James McKenna of Story City; and Mindy Ann Eisentrager and fiance, Jade Pecha, of Dumont; brother, Gene and wife, Julie Eisentrager, of Hampton; brother, Duane and wife, Sue Eisentrager, of Hampton; brother, Galen and wife, Marlene Eisentrager, of Sheffield; and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl; maternal grandparents, Rivert and Jophie Rewerts; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Lela Eisentrager. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home.
