Denny Hilpipre, 62, of Woolstock, died Sunday June 28, 2009 at Hamilton Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. John Hembrey, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5- 8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 553 of Woolstock.
Denny Allen Hilpipre, son of Virgil and Phyllis McCollough Hilpipre, was born July 9, 1946 at Webster City. He received his education at the Woolstock Public school and graduated from Eagle Grove high school in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On November 20, 1970, he married Carolyn Middleton at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. The couple resided at Woolstock. He had been employed at Van Diest Supply for 12 years, retiring in June of 2009, due to failing health.
Denny is survived by his wife, Carolyn, daughter, Sara Faltys of Poplar Bluff, MO; son, Dr. Nicholas Hilpipre of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Sydney and Tyler Faltys; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Kathy Hilpipre; Chris and Joni Hilpipre, all of Webster City; sister-in-law, Marsha (Bruce) Pressler of Eagle Grove; father-in-law, Albert Middleton of Webster City; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles, Thyrol and Alene McCollough of Webster City; Pat Klaver of Kamrar; Carol Wenger of West Virginia; Don and Mary Hilpipre, Lavonne and Norval Story, Mary Lou and Vern Deitrich, Glen and Letty Reisetter; He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Hilpipre in 1976. Denny was a member of the Woolstock United Methodist Church, American Legion Post # 553, Eagle Grove Country Club, the Wild Bunch and Woolstock Fire Dept.
