Phyllis Marie Heliotes, a retired bookkeeper, died April 19. She was 70. Mrs. Heliotes was born in Clarion, Iowa, and lived in Marin 48 years. She was a bookkeeper and secretary treasurer with J&M Building Specialties for 28 years. She enjoyed playing bridge. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Heliotes; sons, Scott and John Heliotes Jr. of Petaluma; sisters, Barbara Swan of San Rafael and Deanne Harmon of Sacramento; and five grandchildren. A private service will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to a favorite charity.
