Lima, IA---Funeral services for Mrs. W. D. Follensbee who died Wednesday morning, was held Friday afternoon in Lima church, conducted by Rev. Clayton P. Elsberry, Wesleyan Methodist pastor, at Fayette. Burial was in Lima cemetery. Alta L. Oelberg daughter of Juneo and Benora Coe Oelberg, was born February 15, 1888, at Lima, and died July 17, at Oelwein, after a brief illness, at the age of 58 years, five months and two days. When she was about three years of age, the family moved from the store to the farm, southeast of Lima, where she grew up to womanhood. She attended rural school and later high school at Glenwood. She taught in the rural schools about two years, then clerked in her uncle's store, at Lima until the time of her marriage. She was united in marriage to William Follensbee on January 29, 1913. To this union were born three children, two of whom died in infancy, and Cecile, Mrs. James Callihan, Blue Ridge, Georgia. After their marriage they moved to Clarion for a short time and then to various farms around West Union and Wadena. Later they bought her childhood home, after the death of her mother, where they resided until her death. She was active in all community organizations, holding offices in most of them at some time. She was noted for the quilts she pieced and quilted and many rugs and other fancy work and sewing in her club. Besides her husband and daughter, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Turner and Mrs. R. M. Dickinson, both of Fayette, and one brother, Albert, Waukon, nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends. Relatives from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Oelberg, Beulah and Sarah, Waukon, and Francis and Iva Oelberg, Cedar Rapids.
