Josephine Ehlers Hoyt, 97, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, March 16, 1997, in Rock of Ages Nursing Home, Jamestown. Josephine Ehlers was born Feb. 7, 1900, in Vincent, Iowa. She moved with her family to McHenry, N.D. On Feb. 22, 1920, she married Guy Hoyt in New Rockford, N.D. They farmed near McHenry and in 1926 they moved to a farm near Courtenay, N.D. He died in 1955. She moved in 1968 to Wimbledon, N.D. In 1994 she moved to Jamestown. She entered the Rock of Ages Nursing Home in 1996. She is survived by a son, Donald (Mary), Jamestown; a daughter, Betty Johnson, Beechy, Sask.; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: Today from 1 to 9 and Wednesday from 9 to 11 in Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown. Funeral: Wednesday at 2:30 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wimbledon. Burial: Courtenay Cemetery.
