Juanita T. Hultquist died May 8

She was born in 1921 on a small farm near Thor, Iowa, and lived in Iowa, Colorado and Nebraska during her lifetime. She graduated from Iowa State Teacher's College in 1943, and taught kindergarten in Belmond, Iowa, and Boulder. She received a master's degree in 1948 from the University of Colorado. She was married for 54 years to Paul Hultquist, who preceded her in death in 2000. She participated in many programs at several Lutheran churches in Colorado, and was in charge of the nursery ministry at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wheat Ridge for many years. She enjoyed reading and life-long learning. For the past five years, she had lived at Covenant Village of Colorado in Westminster. Survivors include her son, Fred, of Kiowa; daughter, Ann, of Broomfield, and granddaughter, Madeline Hebert. A memorial service was Tuesday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. Inurnment was at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder. Arrangements were handled by Rundus Funeral Home.
