Duan Wayne Loux, 60, passed away May 8, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services were held May 12, 2009. Burial was held at Ankeny Memorial Garden. Duan, the son of Eldon and Wanda (Babcock) Loux was born June 22, 1948 in Hampton. He grew up on a farm in rural Galt and Rowan area and graduated from Clarion High School in 1966. Duan attended Hamilton College and served in the Army and did a tour of Vietnam. Duan retired March 10, 2009 after 30 years as a machinist. Duan and Donna celebrated 37 years of marriage. He loved to go camping, hunting, fishing, a good game of cards and spending time with his family.

Duan is survived by his wife, Donna and his children: Rhonda and her children of Des Moines; Gary and his wife, Anita and their children of Dardenne, Illinois; Sandy and her husband, Darwin and their children of Des Moines; mother, Wanda Loux of Rowan; a sister DeAnna (Paul) Mallinger; two brothers: Leland (Cathy) Loux and Merlin (Jackie) Loux, grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Loux; and father, Eldon Loux.
