30 June 1819 -- 9 May 1900

Sarah Kennison was born June 30, 1817 in Shefford, Rushalbo Co. Lower Canada. She married Ezra Azeltine on February 22, 1834 at Swanton, VT. Moved to New York state in 1835 where 12 children were born to her. They moved to Iowa in 1858 and remained there until the death of her husband on April 1, 1878. She spent the next 15 years with her children in Kansas and Iowa. In 1895 she went to Hill City SD and in 1896 came to Sioux Falls SD and lived with her daughter, Mrs. E S Gage. Her funeral services were held at the Zion Baptist Church. She left four sons and six daughters - Mrs Joe Turner, Garnet KS - Mrs. A Chase, New Hartford IA - Andrew Azeltine, Rowan IA - Addison Azeltine, Osborne City KS - Mrs E S Gage, Taopi SD - Mrs. Henry Collins, Hill City SD - Mrs. George Conklin, Cedar Falls IA - Judd Azeltine, Hill City SD - Mrs. Al White, Gaylord KS - A R Azeltine, Braman OK Territory.
