Robert Pals, 72, of Crystal Lake, died Monday (June 5, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Reformed Church, Alexander, with the Rev. Gerald Norman officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton. Robert Pals was born Sept. 24, 1922 in rural Alexander, Franklin County. Survivors include two sons, Robert H. Pals of Meservey and Richard A. Pals of Alexander; one daughter, Deborah Vestweber of Alexander; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Else Pals of Alexander, and Joe Pals, of Orient. He was preceded in death by his parents.
