Treva Victoria Wagner Jones died October 21, 2001, at the Belmond Health Care Center in Belmond. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Dugger Ewing Funeral Home in Belmond, with Pastor Mike Druhl officiating. Music will be provided by Maxine Whitty, organist. Honorary bearers will be Lonny Eggers, Mike Klinefelter, Cathy Blau, Shirley Bloom, Toni Anderson, Janell Blau, and Dale Blau. Inurnment will be at Belmond Cemetery near Belmond.

Treva Victoria Wagner, daughter or Julius and Ella Willia Wagner, was born June 1, 1908 in Booneville, NC. She moved to Liscomb, Iowa, in 1918 where she attended school. Treva graduated from the Albia High School. She moved to Belmond in 1925. She was united in marriage to Ralph Jones on September 24, 1925 in Clarion. They lived in Algona for five years, then returned to Belmond where Treva worked at the Belmond Community Hospital as a cook. Treva and Ralph later owned and operated a gas station and cafe on Highway 69 in Belmond. Treva worked for Lois Hammond for seven years and then retired, moving to the Rise Apartments of Belmond Community Apartments. Treva enjoyed cards, fishing, and painting pictures. She belonged to the United Methodist Church in Belmond where she had been active in the women's groups.

Treva was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph, in 1992; three brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruby Kleinfelter of Belmond, Pat and Marvin Blau of Latimer; one brother, and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Leone Wagner of Sacramento, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
