Minnie Freeks, 88, of Alexander died October 16, 2001 at the Franklin General Nursing Facility of Hampton. Funeral services were held Friday, October 19 at the First Reformed Church in Alexander with Rev. Philip Arnold officiating. Burial was in the Hampton Cemetery. Minnie was born April 19, 1913, to John and Minnie (Pals) Freeks near Alexander. She received her education in Alexander and graduated from Alexander High School. Minnie was a member of the First Reformed Church where she taught Sunday School and was in the ladies group. Preceding her in death are her parents, three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
