Howard D. Anderson, 61, of rural Goodell, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 6, 2002, at the Belmond Medical Center, Belmond. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Klemme, with the Rev. Paddy Druhl officiating. Visitation was held at the Tenold-Andrews Funeral Home, Klemme. Burial will be in the Amsterdam Cemetery, Goodell, at a later date.

Howard Dean Anderson, the son of Elmer and Esther (Harberts) Anderson, was born on April 19, 1914, on his parents farm in rural Hancock County. On January 14, 1984, he married Sherri Krueger at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Since their marriage, the couple have lived and raised their daughters on the farm in Goodell.
