STORY CITY, IA - Robert Ellis "Bob" Burk, 64, of Story City died Sunday (March 29, 2009) at his home in Story City. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name. Bob was born on Aug. 3, 1944, in Belmond, to Donald and Doris (Davis) Burk. Bob is survived by his wife, Karen, of Story City; a brother, Tom Burk, of Goodell; and a sister, Pat Formanek, of Clear Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents.
