Charles City, Iowa -- Robert Eugene Redmond, age 66, of Charles City, formerly of Belmond, died on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997, at the Eleventh Street Chautauqua Guest Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Howardville Wesleyan Church, north of Charles City, with the Rev. Martin Miller officiating. Burial will be in Howardville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services on Saturday at the church. Robert Eugene Redmond was born on November 27, 1930, in Stanbury, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Emily, of Charles City; two daughters, Penny Redmond of Manly, and Pamela Redmond of Leland; four sons, Robert of Aurora, Colo.; Jerry of Charles City; Steven of Charles City, and Lance of Charles City; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Vrana of Denison. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Dugger Ewing Funeral Home, Belmond, is in charge of arrangements.
