Louise Hepperle, 70, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 after a valiant fight with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Peters officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Colfax Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Louise was born March 26, 1936 the daughter of Leo W. and M. Eileen (Wilder) Merfeld in Webster City, IA. Her family moved to Dows were they resided until she was 10 years old. The family then moved to Colorado for a short time until they returned to Clarion, IA. Louise graduated from the Clarion High School with the class of 1954. On June 24, 1954 Louise was united in marriage to Merle D. Urich in Clarion, IA. She was later united in marriage to Carl Hepperle on July 26, 1974 in Fort Dodge, IA. Louise was a legal secretary in Webster City, a secretary for Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge, and most recently was employed by Wal-Mart as a greeter until her health would no longer allow it. Louise was a member of the Fort Dodge Duplicate Bridge Club and Trinity United Methodist Church. She loved to read, spend time with her grandchildren, travel, and crochet in her spare time.
Those thankful for having shared in Louise’s life include her husband Carl, three children; Kathy Whitney, Robert (Cindy) Urich, Karen Urich, four step children; Deanne (Bart) Charon, David (Lyndell) Hepperle, Annette St. John, Paul Hepperle, one sister; Janice (Darwin) Flemme, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Hepperle was preceded in death by her parents.
