Mrs. Inez E. Wade Lived Here From 1902 to 1914Mrs. Inez E. Wade was born in Wisconsin, March 26, 1850, and early moved to Iowa with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Doolittle, settling on a farm north of Webster City, Ia. In 1868 she married Samuel W. Wade, to which marriage three children were born: Myrta Cummings, now of Hawkins, Wis.; Lewis Wade, who died in early manhood; and Irving E. Wade of Oelwein, Ia. She, with her husband, made their home on a farm north of Webster City, Iowa, until about 1902, when they moved to Osage, so that Irving might attend the seminary. They bought the place where Hans Walstad now lives and resided there until the death of Mr. Wade in 1914. Since then Mrs. Wade has made her home with Irving, her son, during the winter months, and with her daughter Myrta, in Wisconsin, during the summer. Mrs. Wade was a very active worker in the church and gave her only living son, Irving E. Wade to the ministry of her Lord. She had been attending the Bible conference at Cedar Falls this last week with her son and expected to go back again on Thursday, but Wednesday evening she was taken ill during the night with a cerebral hemorrhage and died about 1 o'clock Thursday. Funeral services were held at Oelwein on Saturday and at Cass Center church, north of Webster City, on Sunday. She was buried in the Cass Center cemetery beside her husband and son, Lewis. Miss Augusta E. Knoulton and Ray G. Cummings drove to Oelwein, Saturday morning, to attend the funeral. Mrs. Wade was a grandmother of Mr. Cummings.
