POLK CITY, Florida -- Mr. Winston Hugh Wyatt of Polk City, Florida died of cancer Wednesday (Sept. 4, 2002) at home. He was 76. Born in Hardy, Iowa, on Jan. 19, 1926, he came to Polk City from Lakeland 12 years ago. He worked in grounds maintenance for the Juice Bowl. He also worked for Sunken Gardens for 12 years and at FMC for five years. He was a counselor for the 4-H Horse Club. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Methodist. Mr. Wyatt is survived by his wife, Lorraine Wyatt; son, Bruce Wyatt, Auburndale; daughter, Rhonda Bolender, Polk City; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Lakeland Funeral Home. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, 33823.
