NAPLES, Fla. - Judith Ann Green, 69, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Forest City, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 in Naples, Fla. A funeral Mass was held Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in St. Benedict. Burial followed at the Belmond Cemetery in Belmond.

Judith Ann Green was born Dec. 15, 1939, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, the first of six children of Joseph and Florence (Widen) Grandgenett. She attended Corwith School, graduating in 1959. Judy attended American Institute of Business (AIB) in Des Moines where she met Jon Green. Jon and Judy were married on Nov. 14, 1962 in Des Moines. They were parents of two sons, Brad and Todd and raised them in Forest City. Later Jon and Judy moved to Nissawa, Minn., where they enjoyed their lake home for many years. They spent the last winters at their home in Naples, Fla., where Judy died on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at the age of 69. Judy loved entertaining their vast amount of friends from all over. Her first love was her family and four beautiful grandchildren, attending their many functions and making all of them memorable.

Judy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jon; her son Brad and his family, wife Paula and children, Jake and Jaydee; her son Todd and his family, wife Mandy and their children, Trey and Mitch. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Jane Frankl and her husband, Mike, of Algona, David Grandgenett and his wife, Lorrie, of Grimes, Mary Cruise and her husband, Bill, of Wesley, and Alice Simons and her husband, Bob, of Carroll; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Florence Grandgenett; her brother, Robert Grandgenett; her parents-in-law, Carl and Dorothy Green; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Green.
