HAMPTON-Albert A. Lambertsen, 69, of Hampton died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City. Services will be held Saturday, March 8, at 1:30 p.m. at the Aredale United Methodist Church with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, rural Geneva. Rev. Michael Shaffer will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa Hampton Chapter.

Albert was born Dec. 26, 1933, at Popejoy to Anton and Lillian Buge Lambertsen. He graduated from Popejoy High School and served in the Korean War. On April 23, 1954, he married Mabel Howard at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. He was a farmer and a member of the volunteer Hansell Fire Department and the Dows Legion. He enjoyed fishing at his cabin in northern Minnesota, listening to bluegrass music, and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel; two sons, Mike and wife Vicky of Rockwell and Dennis (Buck) and wife Pat of Aredale; a daughter, Sherry Peterson, and husband Dwight of Dumont; two brothers, Roland Lambertsen of Ackley and John Lambertsen of Tucson, Ariz.; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a brother. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
