Hio Goeman, 60, victim of cancer, died last week. Survivors are his wife Anna; children, Marjorie (Mrs. Elmer) Christians of Kanawha, Donald of Belmond, Mavis (Mrs. John) Ruiter of Kanawha, Donovan, an Army private now at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, and Ann of Belmond; also his mother, Reka; and a brother, Rammar.

Hio Goeman dies at Belmond; Rites Saturday

BELMOND-Hio Goeman, 60, retired farmer, died early Thursday at his home in Belmond. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bethany Reformed Church at Belmond. The Rev. Elmer Vander Ploeg will officiate. A prayer service will be held at 1p.m. Saturday at the Fulton Funeral Home at Belmond. Surviving are his wife, Anna; five children, Mrs. Elmer (Marjorie) Christians, Kanawha; Donald M. Goeman, Belmond; Mrs. John (Mavis) Ruiger [Ruter], Kanawha; Donavan H. Goeman, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; and Ann, at home in Belmond. Burial will be in the Immanuel Reformed Cemetery at Belmond.
