Harm Sandman, 60, a Belmond resident for the last 50 years, died suddenly at a Mason City Hospital of pneumonia. A heart condition also contributed to his death. He was born in Germany and came to this country with his parents when he was 10 years old. His wife Barbara and a son Gordon survive.
