Philip McBurney, 71, son of Dr. G. F. McBurney who practiced medicine in Belmond for over 50 years, died last week in Missouri. He had suffered for several years of Parkinsons. It was through the McBurney Estate that land was obtained on which the United Methodist Church now stands and also for the McBurney Apartments which were named for the doctor.
