Ronald Clemons of Marshalltown, member of a special M&St. L. train crew that had been employed here the last two weeks, switching cars for the General Mills plant, lost his life in a tragic accident at the GMI switchyard. His chest was crushed while the crew was endeavoring to "stake" a string of four freight cars after an unsuccessful "flying switch".
