OMAHA, Neb. - Kim Suntken, 38, of Omaha died Sunday (Nov. 23, 2008) at Lakeside Hospital. Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. today at Rejoice Lutheran Church, 2556 S. 138th St. Omaha. Family interment service will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Thornton. Her family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 Larch St., Thornton.

Kim Michele DeVries was born Nov. 8, 1970, at Belmond, a daughter of John 'Butch' and Marladean (Miller) DeVries. She attended Meservey-Thornton School and graduated in 1989 from SCMT High School. Kim graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in management of information systems. On May 30, 1992, Kim was united in marriage with Neal Allen Suntken at First Reformed Church in Meservey by Pastors Meester and Ingebretson. In 1995 they moved to Omaha where Kim worked for SilverPlume Rating Solutions. Kim was a member of Rejoice Lutheran Church in Omaha and a devoted wife, mother and daughter.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Neal; children: Erin, Abbie and Jake Suntken; parents: Butch and Marladean DeVries of Thornton; sister, Kris DeVries and her daughters, Ashley and Taylor, of Minneapolis; mother and father in-law, Byron and Gwen Suntken of Meservey; brother-in-law, Adam (Sandy) Suntken and their sons David and Nick; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Arrangements are with the Retz-Grarup Funeral Home in Thornton.
