September 9, 1919 -- May 23, 1993

Duane Merlyn Rusk was born September 9, 1919 and died May 23, 1993 in Arizona. He was the son of Clarence & Alice (Champlin) Rusk, born on a farm in Wright Co. but was educated in Webster City, graduating in 1937. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army Infantry in the Philippines and Japan. On Aug 24, 1946, he married Dorothy Woodall in Chicago, Ill. The couple farmed north of Webster City, retiring in 1985 and moving into Webster City. They moved to Mesa in May of 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; daughter and son-in-law, Karen & Jerry Bybee, Yorba Linda, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel & Amanda Rusk, Winton, Calif.; grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Kranz; brother, Forrest Rusk, Webster City; sister, Aleta Rossotti, Atwater, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents. Burial in Cass Center Cemetery, Hamilton County, Iowa.
