Wanda E. (Jenison) Caponi was born April 24, 1928, in Goodell, Iowa, to Dorothy and Vere Jenison. She was the oldest of 16 children. Wanda attended Waldorf College and married Charles C. Caponi II on Jan. 22, 1950, in Albert Lea, Minn. She had two children, Stephanie and Charles III. She worked at Pritchard Auto and then many years for the North Iowa Library Extension before going to work at Good Earth Natural Foods, (now Health Country). She was a longtime member of the Mason City Seventh Day Adventist Church, serving the church in many different capacities. She considered the members to be family, too. Wanda enjoyed playing and singing music. She felt blessed to have such supportive brothers and sisters and loved them all very much. She also had many good times with her husband's side of the family and always enjoyed being an "honorary Italian." Those who knew Wanda knew she never had a bad word to say about anyone. She remained true to her faith through many trials and tears. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Charles Caponi and wife, Kimberly, of Mason City; three grandchildren: Jason, Timothy and Mollie; eight great-grandchildren: Braiden, Tavin, Maya, Max, Trenton, Cayden, Piper and Gianna; brothers, Bradley, Oscar, Peter and Arthur; sisters, Adelaide, Jeraldine, Jolene, Lorinda and Gloria. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles C. Caponi in 1995; daughter, Stephanie Bohl in 2004; three brothers: Randall, Greydon and Jon; and three sisters: Carolyn Sue, Hope, and Audra. Arrangements are with Major Erickson Funeral Home,111 N.
