EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Joyce Ellen (Linn) (Olson) Darge, 73, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday November 19, 2008 at the Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday November 24, 2008 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Rev. David Grindberg officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Joyce was born January 29, 1935 the daughter of Herman H. and Lavaun (Billings) Linn in Fort Dodge, IA. Joyce was united in marriage to Matthew C. Olson from 1953 until their divorce in 1981. Joyce had made her home in several locations including; Fort Dodge, Thor, Livermore, Gilmore City, California, and Wichita. She worked as a certified nurse's aide in the Fort Dodge and Humboldt areas. In 1988 Joyce was united in marriage to Robert Darge in Wichita, KS. Joyce loved a good cup of coffee and visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Those thankful for having shared in Joyce's life include her husband; Robert Darge of Edwardsville, IL, children; Susan M. Olson of Fort Dodge, IA, Theresa L. (Erick) Larson of Collinsville, IL, Jody D. (Karla) Olson of San Diego, CA, Linda D. (Ron) Hamilton of Humboldt, IA, Douglas E. (Gina) Olson of Osceola, IA, sister; Barbara J. (Dan) Chamberlain of Lake Havasu City, AZ, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Mrs. Darge was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, one brother; Jerry Linn, one great grandson; David Hamilton and one great granddaughter; Alexis Hamilton.
