October 14- Full particulars of the facts of the Belmond murder have reached this city. The facts are that Fred Harris and Harry Kooken met in the road about three miles outside the village. When a dispute arose out of a law suit in which Kooken was the principal witness. A few words passed and Harris drew a revolver and shot Kooken. Kooken was taken immediately to Belmond where he died. Both men are quite wealthy farmers and had good reputations. Harris is not married. Kooken leaves a wife and eight children.
