Ruth Bergstrom Dahl, 81, died on Monday, June 2, 2003, at the Kanawha Community Home. Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 5, at the Kanawha Lutheran Church, with interment in the Amsterdam Township Cemetery. Ruth Elizabeth, the daughter of Theodore and Martha Holmgren Bergstrom, was born on February 28, 1922 at Gowrie. She married William Dahl in 1942 at Manson. Later they moved to Kanawha, where they farmed for many years before retiring into town. She entered the care center in 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond and Dale; and sister, Alyce Quade. Survivors include her husband; son, Stephen (Dianne) Dahl of Missouri; and sisters, Esther (Harold) Miller of Manson and Charlotte (Dallas) Scharff of Nevada.
