YOUNG FARMER DIED SUNDAY

TIM WADDINGHAM DIED AT WEBSTER CITY HOSPITAL

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED IN KLEMME WEDNESDAY

Mr Tim Waddingham who lived seven miles northeast of Klemme died at a Webster City hospital late Saturday evening following a mastoid operation. Mr. Waddingham had not been in good health for the past year or more and had suffered more or less physical trouble which weakened and poisoned his system. Some time ago he suffered an attack of flu and this caused mastoid trouble. A few weeks ago he went to the hospital but it was thought he might recover without an operation. Later he went to Jewell and was under the doctor's care there. His condition did not improve and an operation was resorted to on Saturday, but his weakened condition could not rally from the ordeal and death came to end his suffering. The remains were brought to Klemme to the home of Mrs. Lena Medaus, Monday.

At one time Mr. Waddingham was numbered among the business men of Klemme when he was the proprietor of a dray line. Disposing of his business he took up farming as his occupation, which he was successful at. In recent years the Waddingham family have resided on the farm northeast of Klemme. Funeral services were held from the Medaus home at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and from the Methodist Church at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. H.E. Whyte was in charge and was assisted By Rev. Grossbuesch of the Klemme Reformed church. Internment was made in the Klemme Cemetery. This was one of the largest funerals ever held and the church was over-crowded. About one hundred persons who attended to pay their respects had to remain out of doors as there was no room inside. The large crowd was an indication of the high esteem in which the community held Mr. Waddingham.

George Timothy Waddingham was born at Alexander, Iowa, May 10, 1889 and passed away Sunday evening December 8th [1929] at the Webster City Hospital where he had undergone an operation for mastoid a few days previous. His age was 40 years, 7 months and 28 days at the time of his death. Mr. Waddingham had been in ill health most of the summer and had been rapidly failing the last few weeks. For a day or two after the operation it was believed he was on his way to recovery, but in his weakened physical condition due to the prolonged illness the ordeal proved more than he could with-stand though he made a heroic fight for life. On July 12th, 1911, Mr Waddingham was married to Miss Anna Blumer of this place,and practically all of their wedded life has been spent in this vicinity. There were born to this union four children: Curtis, Arnett, Ardell and one who is deceased. Mr. Waddingham was not only a good husband and father, he was also a good neighbor, honored and respected by all who knew him. He was always ready to support any worthwhile enterprise in the community, and help a brother in need.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, his three children, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Waddingham of Milton Oregon; four brothers and five sisters: J.W. Waddingham of Klemme, Mrs. Mary Smith, Paynesville, Minnesota, Mrs. Rebecca LeFever, Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Emma Yahnke, Didsbery, Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Dora Boyes Lewiston, Idaho, Charles Waddingham, Meservey, Iowa, Mr. Ralph Waddingham, Latimer, Iowa, Mrs. Myrtle Osborn, Paynesville, Minnesota. Likewise, many other distant relatives and a host of friends.
