Funeral service for Clarence Johnson, 91 of Good Samaritan Center, formerly of Glenville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug 3, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. Rev. Emma Holm and Chaplain Jake Loper will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Clarence was born March 25,1905 at Renwick, Iowa, the son of Halvor and Anna (Mason) Johnson. He attended school in the Glenville area. On Nov. 24, 1934 he united in marriage to Edna Rhoades at Mason City, Iowa. Clarence farmed in the Alden and Glenville areas. He enjoyed woodworking, especially with furniture. He was a member of the Glenville Methodist Church, and the 4-H group.

Survivors included his son, Donald and wife Sophia Johnson; and grandchildren, Kurt and Derek all of North Glen Colo.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, wife Edna M. Johnson, and seven brothers and sisters.
