A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home for Glenn R. Beck, who died Dec. 17 at age 84. Mr. Beck was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Popejoy, Iowa. During World War II, he served as an Army medic in Africa and Italy and participated in the Normandy invasion. He moved to Portland in 1963 and was a union carpenter. In 1945, he married Florence; she died in 1993. He married Lorene in 1996. Survivors include his wife; sons, David, Roger and Joe; daughter, Beverly Doane; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Remembrances to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon.
