PIERRE, SD - Gladys Metzinger, 77, died Friday, June 11, 1999, at her home. Gladys Mary Wigans was born May 18, 1922, in Renwick, Iowa. She married Bernard Metzinger on Feb. 14, 1941, in Renwick, Iowa. They later moved to Pierre. Her husband died in 1997. Survivors include one son, Lynn of Pierre six daughters: Mary Lou Meadors of Parker, Sally Metzinger of Sioux Falls, Linda Brooks of Laramie, Wyo., Wanda White of Clancy, Mont., and Susan Culberson and Joan M. Baker both of Pierre two brothers: Glenn and Gail both of Humboldt, Iowa 15 grandchildren two stepgrandchildren six great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Services begin at 10:30 a.m. today at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pierre, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Pierre. Hofmeister Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
