MRS. THOMPSON DIES AT 82; RITES ON WEDNESDAY

Mrs. James (Clara) Thompson, 82, a former Webster City resident, died Sunday evening [December 15, 1968] at her home in Eagle Grove. She had been in failing health for several years but more seriously ill the past four months. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Lyle Bartlett of Fort Dodge officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Clara Isabelle Dingman, daughter of Charles and Ada Dingman, was born April 16, 1886, on a farm near Homer. She was reared and educated in the Homer community. She was united in marriage to Francis M. Dingman, and the couple lived for a number of years in Webster City. Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1923. She was united in marriage Jan. 16, 1928 to James Thompson at Blue Earth, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Thompson lived in Webster City until 1950, moving then to Eagle Grove.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Paul (Gladys) Middleton and Mrs. Albert (Virgil) Middleton and Allie Dingman, all of Webster City, William Dingman of Minneapolis and Miss Evelyn Dingman of Eagle Grove. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband June 25, 1964; by one daughter, Zella Marie, who died at the age of 15; by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Park Church of Christ at Goldfield.
