Charles Roskamp, 85, of Outlook, Washington died Sunday at Sunnyside Community Hospital. The [Kanawha] Iowa native received a Purple Heart during his overseas World War II service in the Army. He farmed for many years in the Yakima Valley, and he also operated an Outlook dairy with his father. Survivors include two sisters, Theressa Uken of Outlook and Pearl Seebeck of Sunnyside; a brother, Herman Roskamp; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Sunnyside Chapel of Valley Hills Funeral Home. Private family services will be Thursday, with burial to follow at the Outlook Cemetery. Valley Hills Funeral Home of Sunnyside is handling arrangements.
