NORFOLK, VA- Richard L. Lewis, 87, of the 9400 block of Willow Court, died Feb. 5, 2006, in a local hospital. Mr. Lewis was a native of Meservey, Iowa and the son of the late Will and Martha Lewis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served more than 20 years and two wars, World War II and Korea. Mr. Lewis also retired in 1984 after 20 years with the U.S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen L. Lewis; his daughters, Marcia A. Minamyer and her husband Tom of Norfolk and Jean L. Pritchard and her husband Jeff of Richmond; a grandson, Brian L. Minamyer of Norfolk; and a sister, Marjorie Murphy of Rockford, Ill. A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Father Joseph H. Metzger III. The family will receive friends in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
