Frances E. Boring, 93, of Madison Heights, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Haworth Center for Assisted Living in Farmington Hills. She was born Dec. 31, 1914, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Mrs. Boring was a longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hazel Park. She taught the Boys and Girls Bible Club for many years. She also taught China painting.

Survivors include her sisters, Amber Davis of Iowa and Marjorie Davis of Arizona; and her sister-in-law, Annabelle Mead. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gifford A. Boring.

Visitation Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Rd., Hazel Park. Instate Thursday at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 22323 S. Chrysler Drive, Hazel Park, with the Rev. Richard Yokel, officiating. Burial at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills.
