Lloyd Saatoff, age 90, of Burt, Iowa died on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the Parkview Manor in Reinbeck. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Lentz Funeral Home in Burt, with Rev. Terry Plocher officiating. Burial was in the Burt Township Cemetery.

Lloyd Wilfred Saatoff, the son of Rudolph and Gertrude (Tjaden) Saatoff, was born on Dec. 22, 1917, in Belmond. He graduated from Burt High School in 1936. Lloyd was a truck driver and he owned his own truck. He enjoyed traveling and visiting his family. Mr. Saatoff is survived by his sister, Ellen Besch of Reinbeck; a niece, LaRee VanHauen and her husband, Wade, of Reinbeck and their children Reece and Britny, and another niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bernice Dogotch; and an infant brother, Ervin Saatoff.
