Funeral services for Golda Viola Meyers, 88, of Iowa Falls will be held at 1:30 p.m. June 12, at Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls wifth burial in Union Cemetery. Rev. Steve Hill of the Bethel Baptist Church of Iowa Falls will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Meyers died June 8, 1987, at Valley View Nursing Center at Eldora. She was born Aug. 6, 1898, at Kanawha, the daughter of William and Emma Bonacker Smith. She was educated in the Kanawha schools and was married to Lloyd Shaner in 1921 at Eldora. Mr. Shaner died in 1938, and on Sep 5, 1941, she was united in marriage to Charles Meyers at Macomb, MO. Surviving are her husband, Charles of Iowa Falls; a daughter, Myrna Shaner of Waterloo, a son, Glen Shaner of San Leandro, Calif, and a sister Effie Plowman of Iowa Falls. Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, two sisters and two brothers.
