Philip KILEY, an old-time resident of Grant Township, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John ROSS, near Kanawha, Friday, May 19, 1905, at the advanced age of 77 years. The remains were brought to Ackley and interred at the Catholic cemetery by the side of his wife (Margaret RAIL) who preceded him in death by twenty-one years. One brother, Patrick KILEY of Estherville, and one sister, Mrs. Michael (Honora Anna) CAREY, of Iowa Falls, together with ten children - six sons and four daughters - are left to mourn his loss and, with the exception of one son (Patrick James - Gilpin, Nevada) who was unable to reach here in time, all were present at the funeral. The children present were Roger Joseph of Garvin, Minn.; Philip James of Kanawha; Thomas T. of Belmond; John P. and Nicholas of Grant Township; Mrs. Michael (Ellen) FLANNERY of Lake Wilson, Minn.; Mrs. John L. (Margaret) ROSS of Kanawha; Mrs. John L. (Mary E.) CONWAY of Parkersburg and Mrs. Edward (Honora) RYAN of Grant Township. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
