Donald Arthur Tokheim
1941 - 2008

Don Tokheim, age 65, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, passed away peacefully June 26, 2008. He was born in Des Moines on Aug. 4, 1941. Don was a long haul truck driver for more than 28 years. He recently retired and was making Fort Walton Beach, Fla., his home since moving here to help care for the love of his life and mother to his children, Mikki Pappas (deceased). Don enjoyed being with his family. His hobbies included any type of motor sports, such as sprint car racing, car shows and hot rod building. He rode his Harley Davidson every chance he got. He also enjoyed going to music festivals and camping with his children and grandchildren. He cared deeply for his family.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Hilma and Arthur Tokheim; brother and sister-in-law, Chet and Helen Tokheim; and sister, Doris Hood. He is survived by his twin sister and brother-in-law, Dorthy and Curt Askelson; brother-in-law, Tom Hood; daughter, Terri Hebert; son and daughter-in-law, Micheal and Wendy Tokheim; and four grandchildren, Deanna Hebert, Jamie Hebert, Zachary Tokheim and Blakely Tokheim.

It was Don's wish that he be cremated. His family will hold a private service on Saturday to spread his ashes.
